elizevar is a contemporary furniture brand founded by architect and designer Spela Kocevar. Rooted in a bold design language, the brand explores the intersection of striking forms, vibrant colors, and tactile textures - bringing personality and playfulness into modern living spaces.
Spela Kocevar’s journey began at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana and evolved through a series of international architectural projects, where she gained valuable insight into how people interact with space - and the furniture within it. This experience sparked her passion for product design, eventually leading her to the world of woodworking.
Her creative path has spanned interior design, handbag design, and textile exploration - each medium deepening her fascination with materials and form. This diverse background continues to inform her distinctive aesthetic, characterized by unexpected details, joyful composition, and a clear sense of fun.
Now based in Germany, Spela channels her multidisciplinary approach into elizevar, crafting pieces that are not only visually engaging but also invite interaction. For her, the creative process must be as enjoyable as the final result—furniture that doesn’t just fill a space, but enlivens it.
